Oliva Gallery at Door County Contempoary
June 4-7, 2026
Oliva Gallery will participate in the Door County Contemporary Art Fair with a focused presentation of work by Maggie Meiners and Lindsey Kircher.
Meiners works with bold, graphic imagery that feels familiar at first glance but quickly slips out of alignment. Cropped figures, bright color, and visual repetition create a surface that is clean but unsettled, where recognizable scenes start to break down.
Kircher builds dense, saturated environments where figures, animals, and objects press tightly into the frame. The spaces feel staged but unstable, with layered detail that pulls you in while quietly disrupting any fixed read of the scene.
Together, the presentation reflects Oliva Gallery’s focus on artists who work through cultural narratives with intention, using material and composition to push those ideas beyond surface-level reading.
The path to nowhere
Errol Ortiz & Stanley Dean Edwards
Opening: june 12, 5 – 9 pm Through July 18
The Path to Nowhere, a duo exhibition featuring paintings of Errol Ortiz and Stanley Dean Edwards.
Ortiz, a Chicago-based Imagist painter, builds charged, symbol-rich images shaped by current events, social movements, pattern, humor, and unease. Edwards works through geometric abstraction, using structure, color, restraint, and repeated forms to create tension within order.
Together, their work creates a direct exchange between image and structure, looseness and control, and social commentary and abstraction.
