Osamenta
Herminio Rodríguez
Opening: Friday, May 2, 5 – 9 pm Through June 1
Osamenta, a powerful photographic exhibition by Herminio Rodríguez that captures the profound socio-economic struggles and resilience of Puerto Rico. Through a six-year journey across Puerto Rico's municipalities, Vieques, and Culebra, Rodríguez has documented abandoned industrial sites, deserted commercial properties, and decaying government buildings left in the wake of economic recession, hurricanes, and a growing debt crisis.
Rodríguez’s images reveal not just physical spaces but the emotional and social weight of Puerto Rico's struggles, bringing attention to a story often left untold. The exhibition invites viewers to reflect on the intersection of economy, history, and landscape in Puerto Rico and beyond.
